Heres the Barn in which our film/trailer takes place. Its an abondened cow shed and its the perfect place for our film... its eery, cold, dark and perfectly set out for a horror. Its in my Village and i used to go there alot when i walked my dog theres alot of forests nearby which is perfect for the chasing scenes. I couldnt belive my luck when we got the exam brief because i instantly knew this place would be perfect.
so heres an image of me... not looking my best but i wanted a character who though gives off an impression of being brave and bold hes a bit deeper than that... he has underlying issues which makes him want to show off where as he is not 100% commited in many ways hes more scared than any other character becaus he feels he should be able to keep control and save his friends.
Heres an image of my lead actress.... not only my sister but a hugely talented individual, she may be 11 but she has enough natural talent to hold the whole piece together and i couldnt be more impressed with the her! she has really really excelled and made this whole process a lot easier. Especially as im working in a group on my own. With her make up i didnt want to be to cliche and make her to "zombie"like. I wanted something subtle that made her look ghostly but also that still kept her youthful beauty. My ghost isnt about being scary as such but more chilling and creepy. I think if she looks to grotesque it takes away the eery atmosphere.
The costume was simple. something innocent but old fashioned i dug around the loft and found this gown covered with butterlfies but left with a lace finish which gives a fiftiesesque look about her. i couldnt be happier with the way she turned out.

This is my production logo... i wanted to emphasize the fact im working alone... so this is a simple yet elegant design that not only captures the colourful imaganation of the young youth of britain but also leaves the style of the production company open to many genres of film. I realy wanted to create something that would be memorable, something that wouldnt be big and confusing but something thats small compact but leaves an impression and i feel i have achieved that with this logo
Poster
This is the first movie poster of the film trailer im making... its called Lara i wanted a simple poster that doesnt give to much sotry away but that willl have enough of an impact to get a good amount of audience in to the film. I wanted a dark an ominus trailer and as i put more pictures up i hope to get a positive feedback in which picture to use. For this poster i took insparation from a movie called "Hana" Where it focuses more on the girl rather than anything else in the film. I added my production logo in the picture and also a release date, and certificate rating.

Grave encounters trailer.... A chilling and realistic tale of a programme gone wrong. This advert had a huge impact on the idea of my film. I wanted something incredibly creepy... heart achilngly scary. Something that would have you on the edge of your seat. Clearly the way they have copied the hands on filming style to give you a more of a third eye perspective on the whole movie really works and adds a great atmosphere to the whole movie. Particular parts of the film trailer i really thought worked were... The shot of the girl/ghost turning around to show her horrible jaw opening way to wide and i think this shows though made with a small budget make up can have a huge impact on the quality of a movie. The characters are all so unique and i think the idea of it being a programme gone worng really adds a creepy atmosphere. The place being a abondened physco hospital makes it incredibly ominus and gives it an extra scary punch its such a realistic way of making a film. It makes you really feel its real and this is a real documentary. I really liked this and i wanted to put this kind of effect on my own ad.
The story, i think is key to any horror but this one seems diffirent to any ive ever seen. Its so unique in the fact that they have gone all out to make it seem realistic and not go for a huge budget such as a film like " insidious" where they spent millions of dollars on special effects.
Things i want to take on to my own trialer: First of all the self recording, i think this adds a feel to the film that puts you right in the characters shoes. i think this is great for the audience to be sucked in and really be on the edge of their seat!
